All you need is a Jeep

I guess if you want your garage cleaned/organized all you need to do is get your husband a Jeep. That's all it took for my husband to clean ours.

He recently got this Jeep from his father when he passed and ever since he has been what I call "Jeeping". He is a member of 2 online Jeep forums and has taken the Jeep out a few times. The first time he went on a real "run" he broke something called a Sway Bar. I told him that he can't buy any Jeep parts until I has a new Refrigerator in my kitchen. (We have needed on since forever and he keeps putting it off. I can't live any longer without water and ice!) Needless to say, if you know Big J then you know that he has not been listening.

This guy above put a huge dent in the back and ripped out his tail light. This rock dented or scratched just about every jeep that went by it.

Last Saturday he drug us all up to Gorman for some Jeep party. The kids and I stayed for a couple hours and watched "Crazy" people put a lot of dents and scratches into their jeeps. When Big J got home around 11 or so he told me that he had flooded the jeep. He got stuck in a big puddle of muddy water and it all came inside.

(I told him to stay out of the mud)
I guess he got some water in his transmission and now he has to "work" on his jeep to fix it.

So yesterday he cleaned the garage. It would have been great if I could say that he cleaned it out for me to be able to park in there again. But no. only for his broken jeep to sit until it is fixed.

What did you do with your fog day?

We just had 2 fog delay days in a row. The first was Tuesday, I woke up and looked out the window and said hmm... pretty foggy but no foggier than other days. But I decided to check the website anyway.

After about 10 minutes of tying to get the page to load I gave up and got the kids up and ready to go. Needless to say they came back from the bus stop and said that it was a fog day. I was so mad that I had woke them up. If their lame website would have worked I would have been sleeping! Even though I watch a little girl on Tuesdays and she was coming even if it were a fog day or not. But I could have probably gotten another 45 minutes. Anyway, all I did that day was sit around on the computer. The kids just watched movies.

Wednesday we had another fog day. I was able to check the site and didn't wake the kids up and went back to bed. But then I talked myself into getting back up and getting everyone ready and going to the Gym. I should have just slept in.

So this morning I was really excited to sleep in. Because I didn't have anything else to do today, because, if it were a fog day I wouldn't need to work in the school. So I woke up to come and check the website, took a look outside and my heart and my dreams of going back to school were crushed. Not a bit of fog outside. I can see all the way down the street! Boo.... This was the one fog delay day I was looking forward to.

January Enrichment: What's For Dinner MOM?

Last night went very well.

It was called What's for Dinner Mom? We had the ladies sign up in advance to bring dish that they liked from the Ward cookbook that we made last year. Since most of us have one, we thought it would be a good way to "taste test" recipes that we might not normally cook if we couldn't try before hand. For those that didn't have one we are emailing all the recipes that were featured last night to those who wanted them. All the dishes were labeled and we had little recipe type cards at each place so that they could write the name of the dishes that they liked best.

For the game we played a candy bar game. Each seat had a place card with either a Snickers, Almond Joy, Kit Kat, Milky Way, Mr. Goodbar or Crunch Bar. When they came in they chose their favorite candy bar out of those 6 choices and sat in a seat with the same place card. Then after we were done eating we all had to share a story or something about us that went with our candy bar. For example Snickers people had to tell a funny story about themselves. Milky Way people had to tell of a dream or goal. Kit Kat people had to tell of things that they like to do in their spare time. Almond Joy people told of what brought them joy. Crunch bars were accidents, either car of physical. And Mr. Goodbar were stories of a Date they went on, either an awesome date or a horrible date.

All the ladies said that they had fun. If only we had taken some pictures.

Is it Spring Yet?

I am soo ready for Spring! I feel like I am frozen and I need to thaw out. If it could just be warm when the sun is out that would be awesome. It always looks warm but then you go outside and freeze.

Now I know that some of you have much colder temps around but I am not in the mountains so I expect warmth. And I'm sure that all too soon I will be complaining about the heat. 110 is no fun either.

I would be nice if it would be in the 70's and 80's all year.
